There are millions and millions of online opportunities available on the Internet. Which ones are the best?

In a way it will depends on your skills. There is a big difference between an opportunity where you have to build your own web site and where you are provided with a web site. Most people cannot build their own web sites.

If you can build your own web site I would suggest you start off by using Google Adsense and affiliate marketing to earn an extra income.

MLM or network marketing

For those who do not have a web site I would suggest network marketing. I know some people dislikes network marketing and have a negative connotation to it. That is because some people markets mlm as "a quick fix" or "easy money". That is not what it is. Many people also got hurt by companies like Herbalife and Amway where they have to sell expensive products and get other people to buy the idea of making money from expensive products. Many people think products, soap, herbs, energy drink, etc if they hear the term network marketing. But that is not what it have to be.

There are many companies out there who market other business or services. I personally prefer a service which is subscription based. Everybody pays a monthly fee for a service or fixed product. This way you will always know what next month's paycheck will be. If the company is product based your income will be dependant on the sales of your team.

Then I also look at the affordability of the product vs the commission.
There are companies out there where you can make $1,000 per referral. This sounds great. But it will cost you $7,000 to join. There is nothing wrong with that. You can make millions. But because it is so expensive to join you make it difficult for yourself. You limit your market. Your chances to succeed and to continue in such a business is very small.

Rather look for something that is affordable but yet pays a good commission. No use getting paid peanuts. One of the main reason why people quit a business they joined is because they do not make money quick enough. So if you join a mlm company always see how many other people you have to register in order to break even. Once you break even it is not costing you money out of your pocket. But also think of it this way. If you sign up somebody else, the quicker they break even the quicker you have a client for life!

Easy

I know they all say it is an easy business. It is very important that the business, its compensation plan and product are easy to understand. You will have share this business and get them to understand how it works before they will join. They in return will have to do the same. If the business or any aspect of it is difficult to explain to others it will be difficult to duplicate your business. It need to be extremely easy. Perhaps you are very clever and understand it easily, but always look and see how easy will it be for an un schooled person to understand it.

Training

The company you join should give you very good training AND motivation. Some of you might need the training but you will be signing up many new people who would not have any previous experience. If the company do not provide good training, you will have to do it. And what will happen if an inexperienced person join a mlm business and he signs up new people. What will he teach his new recruits? The some NOTHING he knows? Training provided by the company is very important. Your success will not come from you signing up hundreds of people. It will come from the duplication of the people you signed up. You sign up 10 who sign up 10 who sign up 10, etc. But your ten will not sign up ten each unless they know what to do.

YOU

Ever wondered how it is possible that some people can make millions from a specific business opportunity but yet you will find thousands of people who have not made a cent from the same business? This clearly illustrates that there cannot be something wrong with the business opportunity.

One of the most important ingredients in succeeding online is YOU, your attitude and your commitment.

If you are not serious about making a success, you will not make it. If you are not serious about developing the mind set of a millionaire, you will not make it. If you do not take your personal development and self growth serious, you will not make it.

Affiliate marketing is a very broad subject. If you sign a deal with your local estate agent that you will market her services but for each client you referred who buys a property, she must pay you $300, then you are in fact an affiliate of the estate agent. This is exactly how affiliate marketing works.

You market the product or service of somebody else. If you do this online you will normally get a unique link to use. The vendor's web site then tracks the visitors according to your link and will know which clients you referred. Once somebody makes a purchase you will get your commission. This is the most brilliant way of advertising since you only pay for successful business.

The opportunity you choose will depend on your skills. If you do not know how to build a web site then rather stick to something where you do not need a web site, like MLM.
